What to Expect

When you arrive, an usher will hand you a booklet containing all the words and songs of our Mass, along with comments and instructions to help guide you through the experience. Feel free to sit, stand, kneel, or physically participate as directed, or just sit quietly and observe if that’s more comfortable.

Children are welcome to sit with you during our worship services. If you have younger children, we offer nursery care (ages 10 months to 3 years) and Godly Play (ages 3 to 7) during our 9:00 AM Mass.

You are also free to participate in 9:00 or 11:00 AM Mass via video: outside from one of the pavilions, or from our Community Room, which is suitable for nursing mothers. If you have questions about these, please contact the Church Office.

Normally, Communion is reserved for those who have received the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation, and who regularly attend our church. However, if you are a baptized Christian and regularly attend your own church, we invite you to come forward and receive Communion with us. If you are a visitor and neither baptized nor confirmed, we invite you to come to the communion rail, with arms folded across your chest, for a blessing.

After you have received Communion or a blessing, please return to your seat along one of the outside aisles, next to the walls—rather than returning down the center aisle.

If you need to step out during the service, and it’s not an emergency, we ask that you wait until a time that would be less disruptive to others. For example, it would be better to step out during the communion or a song—times that require less focus and have more bustling—than during the sermon or prayers at the altar. Use your best judgment. If you have any questions, please ask an usher when you arrive.

The 7:30 AM service is approximately 45 minutes; the 9:00 and 11:00 AM are about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Note: The 11:00 AM Mass uses incense during the service. If you are sensitive to smells or would prefer to avoid this, we recommend attending the 7:30 or 9:00 AM Mass.
