Bishop Scarlett’s 40-Year Celebration and Evensong

Join us as we gather as a community to celebrate Bishop Scarlett’s 40-year anniversary as Rector of St. Matthew’s Church.

We’ll host a celebratory Evensong on Friday, September 25th, beginning at 6:00 PM, followed by dinner together in the St. Barnabas Pavilion. Childcare will be available from 5:45 to 8:45 PM.

We will livestream the Evensong in case you are unable to attend in person.

You won’t want to miss this—it will be Bishop’s final weekend as Rector before officially handing over the keys to Fr. Hayden the following week. Come celebrate a lifetime of faithful ministry!

Note: We are collecting letters expressing gratitude for Bp. Scarlett’s extraordinary ministry as Rector of St. Matthew’s, to be compiled and given to him at the celebration. We are also collecting digital scans of photos from the last 40 years of his ministry, to be compiled into a slideshow to be played through dinner.
